Vinaya Avinash Bhosekar is a self-driven, goal-oriented, sensitive, and energetic person. She has a lifetime of invaluable experience and wisdom to draw from. Her passion is for working with underprivileged children in the community. She displays excellent leadership qualities for navigating challenging situations. Throughout her 47 years of experience in the field of social work, she is associated with women’s organizations like Stree Mukti Sanghatana and Chetana Mahila Vikas Kendra. She has worked as an activist for women's empowerment. Her genuineness and commitment to work inspire all associated with the Sumantra Organization.

She practices as a Marriage Counselor and Family therapist and believes that genuine human connection is the foundation for success in therapy.

 

Vinaya is the Founding Member and President of Sumantra Psychological Counseling Center. She also heads our Nutrition project. Having witnessed the plight of struggling learners in local schools where she worked as a Counselor's Supervisor, she was determined to focus on helping children with learning difficulties. She has co-authored our book, ‘Akshar Maitri’.

 

Vinaya enjoys listening to Hindustani Classical Vocal and Instrumental music. She loves reading Psychology books, Spiritual books, and Biographies.

PG Diploma in Social Work, Pune University, Gold Medalist

PG Diploma in Guidance and Counseling, Mumbai University
