We believe that every child has a right to education . But the school drop out rate is high . One of the major reasons for this is learning difficulties found in the school children. So the children get de- motivated  and leave the school.

We have taken up a project of remedial education for such children and a program called ‘Akshar Maitri’ run by Sumantra is a targeted education program for scholastically backward slum children . Special coaching is provided to school children to overcome their learning difficulties.

For achieving this purpose ,we train remedial teachers at grass root level and conduct remedial classes for these children .
